Useless Trivia (and Other Nonsense)

Ok....I am a huge trivia buff. I can remember the dumbest, most random factoids about everything. This is some of the things that go through my mind:

•Rosie O'Donnell starred in a show on FOX called Stand by Your Man (it lasted only one season and was on Sunday after the news and Get a Life with Chris Elliot

•Scorch and Fish Police were shows on CBS Friday nights (they lasted 2 shows before being cancelled)

•Homeboys in Outer Space was the first hit on UPN (now the CW)

•Batman Villianess Harley Quinn was supposed to be a one episode character. Harley became a DC phenomenon and has been voiced by Arlene Sorkin since 1992.

•All of Kevin Smith's movies overlap with each other (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks 2)
[Clerks 3 is in pre-production]

•The creator of Glee [FOX] also created American Horror Story [FX]

•The creator of Home Movies [as] also created Metalocalypse [as]

•The Simpsons is the longest running cartoon in history (24 yrs…)

•Guy Fieri is the most successful winner of Next Food Network Star.

More soon. What are some of your favorite odd-ball shows?

so much music, so little space on my terabyte box

I absolutely love music. I have no definition or label on myself (country girl, head banger, etc.) . Music is part of my everyday routine. I love it all.

I absolutely LOVE 70's music and enjoy oldies as well.

I don not have a favorite genre or one favorite artist. I enjoy entirely to many to list here, however, I am a huge Whitney Houston fan, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Lacuna Coil, P!nk, Britney Spears & Katy Perry fan (as well as old school R & B)

I also enjoy Bone, Thugs and Harmony, Tupac, T.I. and Biggie Smalls.

I could go on for days but, I have some pinning to do. I will add a few of current favorites. What are some of you favorite genres? Musicians?

Halestorm: female lead singer with a great, powerful voice (check out, Tell Me Where It Hurts, Familiar Taste of Poison)

Scars on Broadway: side project of Shavo from System of A Down (Chemicals, Babylon, Universe)

Katy Perry: absolutely love her music (Roar, Thinking of You, Fingerprints)

Lacuna Coil: gothic italian metal band with 2 lead singers. Their sound, is unlike any other band (Heaven's a lie, wide awake, senzaphine, I like it)

Reba McEntire: i have been a fan of hers almost 20 years (His name was John, When Whoever's in New England, Fancy, If you see him, Starting Over)

That's all for now.

so many shows, so little space on the dvr

I am not someone that watches a lot of tv. I have my favorite shows, as we all do. However, this year, there are so many good shows on right now. These are a few that I have been trying to keep up with. Let me know what your favorites are.

The Blacklist Mon 10pm (nbc)- what is not to love about James Spader (Boston Legal, the Office) playing a criminal.

Sleepy Hollow Monday 9pm(fox)- based off the story, it is brought to modern day.

Once Upon A Time in Wonderland Thursday 9pm(abc)- think once upon a time with british accents and a smoking caterpillar.

American Horror Story: Coven 10pm(fx)- If you have never seen the show before, go watch them now. This season is gearing up to be the beat yet.

Big Bang Theory (cbs)- Shamy. Lenny. That is all.

I am also watching Face/Off (syfy), Dancing with the Stars (abc), and Cutthroat Kitchen (Food Network).

On Demand is a beautiful thing.
